I was listening to The Gray NATO podcast while I was developing this watch. Jason had written about traveling to Sri Lanka and never finding a GMT that handled the half-hour offset — which was exactly the problem I was trying to solve. When I had the first draft of my now patented design, I quickly shared it with James and Jason, and they were excited. And then I traveled to Baselworld during its final year to assemble our manufacturing team. I ran into James there and we had a fun chat about the watchmaking business and what it would take to develop this piece.
